We are a rowing club that welcomes male and female cancer survivors. In 2019 we opened our program participation to those who support our rowers and our organization’s mission. Whether you are new to rowing or row at a competitive level, the Naiades program is designed to maximize your opportunity to fulfill your personal goals.

Our Name

Naiades is pronounced “nigh-a-deez” or “nay-a-deez.” The Naiades were mythological water nymphs who were intimately connected to the bodies of water that were thought to be endowed with inspirational, medicinal, or prophetic powers.

Our Mission

The Naiades rowing program is committed to serving the physical and emotional needs of cancer survivors. Through our shared rowing experience, we find a means to maintain wellness for our bodies, and courage and determination for our spirit.

We find healing on the water through the power of our commitment, and we hope to provide inspiration to all of those who face the challenges of cancer.

We are supporting people who have faced cancer or are currently under treatment by providing physical conditioning, rehabilitation, education, and camaraderie.

Row It Forward

Financial Support Scholarship Program

The cost of maintaining a rowing program is considerable, and is funded in significant part by fees paid by each participant.  Our mission is thwarted whenever these fees present a barrier to survivors ability to participate in our rowing programs.

For this reason, the Board of Directors has established the Row It Forward Financial Support Scholarship Program.

Current or prospective rowers seeking financial support need to complete the application form and submit it to the Financial Support Scholarship Committee.

Financial Support Scholarships will be awarded on a case-by-case basis, and applied to the participants rowing fees.
